Northeastern University has contracted Einhorn Engineering to perform Phase I of a multiphase effort to upgrade the Lightweight Towed Array Receiver (LTAR) system. Phase I upgrades will allow the system to collect and present data for analysis in real time and will provide increased array telemetry data . Follow-on phases will include array and handling system improvements to increase the range of operating sea states. This work will result in a more robust array and improved handling system personnel safety.
